American White Oak is one of the more popular hardwoods. It has a medium to coarse texture. Light in colour with a nice grain throughout. It has reliable strength and good machinability.
White Oak is commonly used for kitchens, furniture, joinery, and interior fit-outs.

Planed timber sizes are nominal and have smaller finished sizes, generally between 2-5mm. Timber size will also vary with moisture content - Wood naturally expands and contracts with moisture content so some changes in size should be expected.
